Ford Full Package: IDS/FDRS + 1 Year Subscription (1996-2026)

🔧 Ford's software and subscription, for the interface you already own

Already have a Ford VCM3, VCM II or J2534 interface? This package gets it working at dealer level. A CodeKrew technician installs IDS, FJDS and FDRS on your Windows laptop over a live remote session, and the $1,599 price includes a 12-month official Ford Diagnostic Subscription registered to your own shop. The access is yours: not shared, not borrowed, and not dependent on anyone else's account.

🔐 Your own official Ford subscription

• Included in the $1,599 price. A 12-month (365-day) official Ford Diagnostic Subscription is part of this package, not an add-on.
• Purchased from Ford (Motorcraft Service) in your shop's name. We create the Motorcraft Service account with your business details and email address, and you keep the login.
• One subscription covers IDS, FJDS and FDRS for 365 days from the day it is activated.
• Not shared, not rented. Your access does not depend on any other customer or on a CodeKrew account. If something changes elsewhere, your subscription is unaffected.
• Renewal stays in your hands. Renew directly with Ford, or let us handle it for you. We will remind you 30 days before it expires.

The subscription is charged at Ford's list price for an annual subscription. The rest of the price covers the remote installation, interface setup and 12 months of CodeKrew support.

🛠️ What it does

• Full-system diagnostics: read and clear codes in every module, live data, freeze frame and network tests
• Module programming and reprogramming: software updates and Programmable Module Installation (PMI) when replacing modules
• Configuration: As-Built data and vehicle configuration changes
• Guided diagnostics: Ford's own test routines and pinpoint tests
• Service functions: DPF regeneration, injector coding, TPMS, parking brake service, steering angle and battery monitor resets, transmission adaptive relearn, and more
• Keys and immobilizer: supported, but Ford requires a NASTF VSP credential for security-related functions. We can walk you through getting one.

🚗 Vehicle coverage depends on your interface

• The software and subscription cover Ford, Lincoln and Mercury from 1996 to 2026 (IDS for established platforms, FDRS for newer ones). What you can reach depends on your interface:
• Ford VCM3: the full range, including 2021+ CAN-FD and DoIP vehicles.
• Ford VCM II or VCMM: most vehicles up to about 2020. Newer CAN-FD vehicles need a VCM3.
• J2534 pass-thru interface (VCX Nano, Mongoose and similar): diagnostics and most programming across the range. Tell us the make and model before you order so we can confirm it.
• Not sure? Send us the VINs of the vehicles you see most and the interface you own, and we will confirm coverage before you order.

💻 Laptop requirements

• Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro, 64-bit (Home editions are not supported by Ford)
• 8 GB RAM minimum; 16 GB is Ford's recommendation
• Solid-state drive (SSD) with at least 100 GB free
• Intel Core i5 or equivalent, or better
• At least one free USB port
• Broadband internet connection and administrator access to the laptop
• A dedicated workshop laptop is strongly recommended. Antivirus and other diagnostic software can conflict with Ford's tools.

⚙️ How it works

1. Order and VIN check. Place your order, tell us which interface you own, and send us the VINs you work on most.
2. Remote install session. We book a live session by remote desktop, install and configure IDS, FJDS and FDRS, and set up and update your interface drivers and firmware.
3. Activation. In the same session we create your Motorcraft Service account with you, activate your Ford subscription in your shop's name, and stay on until you are connected to a vehicle.

🔋 Before you program a module

• Connect a battery support unit (BSU) to hold vehicle voltage steady
• Use a wired connection to the interface and a stable internet connection
• Keep the laptop on mains power for the whole session

📄 Refunds and the Ford subscription

The Ford subscription is purchased from Ford in your name and is non-refundable once activated. Cancel before your setup session and you get a full refund. Because we only activate the subscription during your session, once your order has cleared, nothing non-refundable is spent until you are ready to use it.
